Zaza Berdzenishvili, a representative of the “eighties” generation, introduces his own system of images to Georgian painting: colorful figurative ideograms create the “text” of his works, which repeat themselves through diverse pictorial models. The artist of colors achieves a stunning effect, and finds advantage in the possibilities of color gradation and harmony through contrast. His meticulously fine paintings offer viewers an original version of aesthetics and decoration.<\/p>\n

Berdzenishvili\u2019s work deals with the tenderest depths of our existence: the inseparable unity of the universe and man, the natural coexistence of sorrow and joy, and the inevitability of dreams. As such, in his work a naive model of world perception strangely intertwines with ancient archetypal cosmogonic systems.<\/p>\n

The artist’s work is a mature attempt to preserve and restore the happiness of \u201cbeing a child.\u201d His nuanced painting is a model of imitating this happiness, accompanied by an eye-catching glow of childhood.<\/p>\n
