Keti Benashvili’s exhibition is dedicated to the flow and forms of the universe, life, and existence, which inspire her visual images.<\/p>\n

As a symbol of movement, current, change, renewal, entrainment, disappearance, and survival, flow creates an endless chain of associations. It occasionally identifies itself with danger or bliss, supplying the author with diverse opportunities to “play” with these themes, including figurative images and abstractions, symbolic tools, and realistic parallels. The author uses a wide range of materials to create large objects. She applies cement to create figurative sculptures and images through embroidery and paint on fabric. Installations made of fabric and large cloth “curtains” reconstruct the space because the flow also implies reconstruction…<\/p>\n

The artist conveys various actions, positions, and emotions related to the current, making us feel its power and importance. She reveals the danger of being swept away and the pleasure of delving into the water. For her, the essence and shape of every subject, tangible object, or feeling relate to the concept of flow.<\/p>\n

The exhibition \u201cFlow\u201d tells us a story of eternal life, continuous thoughts, and the process of changing events. It reports on the advantages of walking the paths of survival and discovery, indicates the risks of impulsive decisions or fatal actions, prompts us to stay calm in times of danger, and shares information about the opportunities to stay as part of the flow and isolate from it.<\/p>\n

This multi-layered system of exhibition objects shapes a unified current being united by the personal “flow” of the author, voiced by the “noise” of silence, and identified with the greatness of a change… Finally, it reminds us of the coexistence of personal and universal flows and informs, that the currents of our individual existence are part of a boundless universe merging with the great river of existence. Therefore, we must be cautious in thinking, feeling, and acting…<\/p>\n

Visit Keti Benashvili\u2019s show \u201cFlow\u201d from October 10 at the Baia Gallery.<\/p>\n

With this exhibition, Keti joins the gallery’s “current,” introducing a new “swimmer” to our “waves.” I believe that this debut will bring her the title of champion.<\/p>\n
