From November 26, 2024, to February 10, 2025, Baia Gallery\u2019s space for private collections (Pavle Ingorokva Street 19a) will present a new project titled \u201cCollection\u2014XX Century. Avant-garde and Modernism.\u201d<\/p>\n
The exhibition will present the works of museum-status artists kept in private collections. Participating artists are David Kakabadze, Petre Otskheli, Elene Akhvlediani, Irakli Gamrekeli, Sergo Kobuladze, Kirill Zdanevich, Lado Gudiashvili, Shalva Kikodze, Avto Varazi, Peter Bliotkin; Vera Pagava and Felix Varlamishvili represent Georgian immigrant culture; Sergey Sudeikin and Vasily Shukhaev are foreign artists who worked in Georgia; Wassily Kandinsky is an international artist who is also part of the exhibition. The exhibition also includes photographs taken by David Kakabadze in the 1920s and books published by David Kakabadze and Lado Gudiashvili in Paris.<\/p>\n
Most of these works are rarities and are shown for the first time. Exhibitions of this type are interesting for process research and help to show the importance of private collections.<\/p>\n

Baia Gallery presents the exhibition – The Map of Georgian Art. Participating artists are from the generation of the 80s – Niniko Morbedadze, Irakli Sutidze, Merab Abramishvili, and Zaza Berdzenishvili. From the previous generation \u2013 Gogi Chagelishvili, Levan Chogoshvili, Irakli Parjiani. From the later period \u2013 Mamuka Tsetskhladze, Kako Topouria. We united the artists by several factors \u2013 those who created the map of Georgian art at the end of the 20th century, established their territory, “opened” new virtual worlds, “invented” new characters, and introduced new schemes, positions, context, emotion, and voice.<\/p>\n

We have represented the artists since the gallery opened in 1992. For 32 years, the gallery has existed through them, and I thank them for that. Only a small group of gallery artists participate in this exhibition, as much as the space accommodates and cannot include all the artists participating in the process. This is a small part of the territory of Georgian art, which we invite you to see. We will continue to \u201cexpose the map.<\/p>\n

From November 26, 2024, to February 10, 2025, Baia Gallery\u2019s space for private collections (Pavle Ingorokva Street 19a) will present a new project titled \u201cCollection\u2014XX Century. Avant-garde and Modernism.\u201d<\/p>\n
The exhibition will present the works of museum-status artists kept in private collections. Participating artists are David Kakabadze, Petre Otskheli, Elene Akhvlediani, Irakli Gamrekeli, Sergo Kobuladze, Kirill Zdanevich, Lado Gudiashvili, Shalva Kikodze, Avto Varazi, Peter Bliotkin; Vera Pagava and Felix Varlamishvili represent Georgian immigrant culture; Sergey Sudeikin and Vasily Shukhaev are foreign artists who worked in Georgia; Wassily Kandinsky is an international artist who is also part of the exhibition. The exhibition also includes photographs taken by David Kakabadze in the 1920s and books published by David Kakabadze and Lado Gudiashvili in Paris.<\/p>\n
Most of these works are rarities and are shown for the first time. Exhibitions of this type are interesting for process research and help to show the importance of private collections.<\/p>\n

Baia Gallery presents the exhibition – The Map of Georgian Art. Participating artists are from the generation of the 80s – Niniko Morbedadze, Irakli Sutidze, Merab Abramishvili, and Zaza Berdzenishvili. From the previous generation \u2013 Gogi Chagelishvili, Levan Chogoshvili, Irakli Parjiani. From the later period \u2013 Mamuka Tsetskhladze, Kako Topouria. We united the artists by several factors \u2013 those who created the map of Georgian art at the end of the 20th century, established their territory, “opened” new virtual worlds, “invented” new characters, and introduced new schemes, positions, context, emotion, and voice.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We have represented the artists since the gallery opened in 1992. For 32 years, the gallery has existed through them, and I thank them for that. Only a small group of gallery artists participate in this exhibition, as much as the space accommodates and cannot include all the artists participating in the process. This is a small part of the territory of Georgian art, which we invite you to see. We will continue to \u201cexpose the map.<\/p>\n

From November 26, 2024, to February 10, 2025, Baia Gallery\u2019s space for private collections (Pavle Ingorokva Street 19a) will present a new project titled \u201cCollection\u2014XX Century. Avant-garde and Modernism.\u201d<\/p>\n
The exhibition will present the works of museum-status artists kept in private collections. Participating artists are David Kakabadze, Petre Otskheli, Elene Akhvlediani, Irakli Gamrekeli, Sergo Kobuladze, Kirill Zdanevich, Lado Gudiashvili, Shalva Kikodze, Avto Varazi, Peter Bliotkin; Vera Pagava and Felix Varlamishvili represent Georgian immigrant culture; Sergey Sudeikin and Vasily Shukhaev are foreign artists who worked in Georgia; Wassily Kandinsky is an international artist who is also part of the exhibition. The exhibition also includes photographs taken by David Kakabadze in the 1920s and books published by David Kakabadze and Lado Gudiashvili in Paris.<\/p>\n
Most of these works are rarities and are shown for the first time. Exhibitions of this type are interesting for process research and help to show the importance of private collections.<\/p>\n

Baia Gallery presents the exhibition – The Map of Georgian Art. Participating artists are from the generation of the 80s – Niniko Morbedadze, Irakli Sutidze, Merab Abramishvili, and Zaza Berdzenishvili. From the previous generation \u2013 Gogi Chagelishvili, Levan Chogoshvili, Irakli Parjiani. From the later period \u2013 Mamuka Tsetskhladze, Kako Topouria. We united the artists by several factors \u2013 those who created the map of Georgian art at the end of the 20th century, established their territory, “opened” new virtual worlds, “invented” new characters, and introduced new schemes, positions, context, emotion, and voice.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We have represented the artists since the gallery opened in 1992. For 32 years, the gallery has existed through them, and I thank them for that. Only a small group of gallery artists participate in this exhibition, as much as the space accommodates and cannot include all the artists participating in the process. This is a small part of the territory of Georgian art, which we invite you to see. We will continue to \u201cexpose the map.<\/p>\n

The works are presented from the artist’s private and gallery collections.<\/p>\n
