Info
Jibson Khundadze created a painting system distinguished by clear individualism. His extremely com¬plicated creative route – from the landscapes of Guria, as if seen from outer space, to the abstracted cosmic spaces – accommodates a pictorial description of the conflicts between Georgian folklore and our intricate epoch. Following David Kakabadze, Jibson Khundadze was one of the first in Georgian art to overcome the border of realistic art and create an elo¬quent ‘image’ of nature, rather than a ‘picture.’ He largely determined the main principles of the development of Georgian art.
